INSTRUCTION IMPORT/EXPORT  FOR OPENCART 3.0


Download and install


  1. Download the plugin archive from the Shop Pinta store and save it on your computer.

  2. In the admin panel of your website, select Extensions (1) > Installer (2).

  3. In the Upload your extensions block, click the Upload button (3).

 


  1. In the opened window, select the plugin archive (1) and click the Open button (2).



  1. Go to the Extensions (1) > Extensions (2) category. In the Extension List, select Modules type (3).

  2. Find Import Export plugin (4) and click Install (5).

  3. To configure the plugin, click the Edit button (6).

The plugin page consists of such tabs as General, Import, Export, History.


The General tab allows you to activate the plugin and consists of fields:


  1. Status (1) - to enable / disable the plugin.


Next, click the Save button (2) to activate the plugin.


  1. DB backup (3) - to create a backup of the website data (button Create DB backup).



The Export tab allows you to export your website data.


This tab consists of fields:


  1. Export type (1) - to select the data type.

  2. Export format (2) - to select a file format.

  3. Your Store (Default) Currency (3) - to select the currency of your products, by default.

  4. Export - to export data to a file.


To export your website data to a file, you need:


  • enter the file name to export in the field (4);

  • click the button to download the file (5);

  • wait until the file is downloaded - the number of downloaded elements is displayed in the processing block (6);

  • download the data file - the Download button (7).




The History tab is used to save the history of all exported files and contains: 


  1. The button for viewing detailed information of the export file: 

  • type - to display the data type,

  • date - to display the date of the file download,

  • image path - to display the folder with images,

  • image size - to display the total size of the images,

  • size - to display the file size.

  1. The button for downloading the archive with files.

  2. The button for deleting a file.



The Import tab allows you to import data to your website.


It is important when importing the file that you select the same parameters as in the exported file (data type, file format and currency).


This tab consists of fields:


  1. Import type (1) - to select the data type for importing into your website.

  2. Path to pictures (2) - to select a path (folder) to store images.


Copy all images to the server manually before importing the file.

Because the plugin does not automatically upload images.


  1. Import format (3) - to select the file format.

  2. Currency (4) - to choose the currency type of your products.

  3. Import (5) - to import the data file.


To import data from a file to your website, you need:


  • select the archive with the files;

  • click on the button to load the data.


Next, in the mapping block, you can select the data type for uploading to your website (6). By default, all displayed data will be selected.

And click on the upload button to import the data (6).


After successfully importing the data, you can view the data added to the website (Added new) and the data ignored during import (Have identical).



Now you can massively transfer products to your website without spending a lot of time.
