How to Use Facebook Feed for CS-Cart
INSTRUCTION FACEBOOK CATALOG FEED FOR CS-CART
Download and install
Download the plugin archive in the Shop Pinta store and save it on your computer.
In the admin panel of your website, select Add-ons > Manage add-ons.
Click the Upload & install add-on button.
Upload the plugin archive from your computer (1, 2, 3) and click the Upload & install button (4).
To configure the plugin, select the section on the main menu of the admin panel Marketing > Facebook Feed Product that appears after installation.
Plugin Page
The plugin page includes:
The Company field (1) - to select the vendor for which the feed will be generated.
The Language field (2) - to select the language for the feed according to the language of the products on your website.
The Currency field (3) - to select the currency type.
The Options block (4) - to select the options corresponding to your product:
The Type fields checkbox - to display an extended list of options (position Options / Features).
Fields Color, Size, Pattern, Material, Brand, GTIN, MPN, Age group, Gender, Shipping label, Shipping weight - to select the options.
Check the Upload goods without images checkbox (5), if you want to upload your goods without images to the feed (the cs-cart logo will be automatically added).
Check the Do not use the google and facebook category checkbox (6), if you do not want to use the Google and Facebook categories to the feed.
The Update Google category feed field (7) - to enter the URL of the Google categories and click the Save button to update the list of Google categories. By default, the list of Google categories is already added to the plugin.
The Update Facebook category feed field (8) - to enter the URL of the Facebook categories and click the Save button to update the list of Facebook categories. By default, the list of Facebook categories is already added to the plugin.
If you would like to use Google categories, select the correspondence to the categories of your website in the Google tab.
To do this, in the table of categories, select the your website categories in the Category column (1) and the corresponding main Google categories in the Google main category column (2). It is necessary.
Additionally, you can specify Google subcategories in the Google subcategory column (3).
If you would like to use Facebook categories, select the correspondence to the categories of your website in the Facebook tab.
To do this, in the table of categories, select the your website categories in the Category column (1) and the corresponding main Facebook categories in the Facebook main category column (2). It is necessary.
Additionally, you can specify Facebook subcategories in the Facebook subcategory column (3).
After selecting the product categories to be uploaded to the feed, save the changes. To do this, click the Save button.
To generate a feed in a new browser window as a web page, click the Generate xml to web page button (1) or copy the link in the Link to copy block.
To generate the feed as a file, click the Generate xml to file button (2). The generated feed will open in a new browser window. Or copy the link in the Url to feed file block.
To use the Cron command, copy the data in the Command for cron block and paste it into cron.
You can also generate a feed depending on the currency and language.
In the Generation of url depending on currency and language block, select the language (1) and currency (2) options. To generate a feed, click on the Create link button (3).
The data feed opens in a new browser window.
The Product list block allows you to add / exclude specific products.
To do this, select the Use product filter checkbox (1).
Next, check the product checkboxes (3, 4) and in the Products filter type field (2), specify which products to use when generating feed:
only selected products,
all products except selected,
add selected products to list,
exclude selected products from the list.
Next, click the Save button (5) and generate the feed.
Feed upload on the Facebook
Sign up for a Facebook account if you don't already have one, and create Catalog in your Facebook advertising account.
To upload the feed to your Facebook Сatalog, in the Items (1) tab click the Add items > Add Multiple Items (2) button.
Next, on the Add items page, select the Data feed block (1) and click the Next button (2).
In the Get started block, that opens, select the Yes option (1) and click the Next button (2).
Copy the address of the generated feed into the browser bar.
In the Choose file block, select the Use a URL tab (1).
Paste copied address into the Enter URL field (2) and click the Next button (3)
In the Set schedule block,, select the needed option for Plan of update schedule (1) and click the Next button (2).
Next, in the Upload block, confirm the settings to save your data feed and start uploading items (1) and click Save Feed and Upload (2).
Wait for the product to load from the feed (1) and click the Items button (2).
All products from your website corresponding to the selected categories are uploaded to the Facebook Catalog and displayed in a table.
A detailed description of the product is in the Product Card. To open the product card, click on the product in the table.
